Hey Everyone!

I'm Amelia - your current Ceilidh Secretary and hopefully your next Ceilidh President!

I've been working alongside the committee for the last two years since Ceilidh Soc was created and it's been amazing to watch it grow and see so many of you getting involved. Whilst most of my job this year has been sending emails and liaising with different people, we've managed to create new events like the Winter Ceilidh with the Union and the MatSoc Ceilidh by reaching out to other societies, enriching the Ceilidh events calendar and giving you the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and dance until you drop! These are just some changes I've helped committee make this year and I'd love to help grow Ceilidh more next year as President.

Apart from our traditional St Andrews, Burns Night and St Paddy's Ceilidhs, I hope to increase our collaboration events with other societies to bring you new and exciting events at all times of the year. My goal as President would also be to increase our inter-university collaboration events to strengthen inter-uni ties but also give everyone a chance to meet more people and make new friends. After all, we all know half the fun of Ceilidh is the people we dance with and chat to.

Whilst no one can replace our amazing current President and Founder, Thomas, it would be a privilege to become the next Ceilidh President and keep the Ceilidh spirit going!
