Paediatrics: Community & Outreach Chair

Dear Fellow Paediatric Members,

I am excited to apply for the role of Community & Outreach Chair within the Paediatrics Society. With a passion for child health & advocacy, I aim to strengthen our community engagement, expand outreach efforts & foster meaningful collaborations to improve paediatric care access & awareness.

If elected, I will focus on:

Expanding Outreach Initiatives – Establishing partnerships with schools, community centres & healthcare organizations to promote child health education & early intervention programs.
Strengthening Community Engagement – Creating inclusive platforms for parents, caregivers & professionals to voice concerns, share resources & access vital support networks.
Enhancing Visibility – Utilizing social media, events & workshops to raise awareness of paediatric health issues & promote the committee’s initiatives.
Advocacy & Inclusivity – Ensuring our outreach programs address the needs of all children, particularly those in underserved communities, & advocating for policies that prioritize child well-being.

As an In2Med tutor, I have worked closely with aspiring medical students, mentoring & guiding them through their journey into medicine. This experience has strengthened my ability to educate, communicate effectively, & inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals—skills that will be invaluable in engaging with the community & driving impactful outreach initiatives.

My dedication to paediatrics, combined with my teaching & mentorship experience, equips me to lead with enthusiasm, creativity, & collaboration. Together, we can build a stronger, more engaged community that prioritizes the health & development of every child.
