Hi everyone!

My name is Vedant, and I’m running to be Outreach Officer for the Respiratory Society next year!

Respiratory medicine is a field I find genuinely fascinating, and I would love the opportunity to help more people engage with this specialty. Our BRS teaching on respiratory really sparked my interest—it made me appreciate just how vital and complex the respiratory system is, and I want to help share that excitement with others.

As Outreach Officer, I would focus on expanding the society’s reach and ensuring more students, both within and outside of medicine, can engage with the amazing events, talks, and resources we offer. I have strong communication and leadership skills from being cricket captain for my local team, where I’ve learned how to bring people together, keep things organised, and effectively promote events.

If elected, I will work to:
✅ Promote Respiratory Society events and resources to a wider audience.
✅ Engage students from all backgrounds to get involved in respiratory medicine.
✅ Strengthen connections with schools and external organisations to inspire the next generation.
✅ Make our outreach efforts more interactive, engaging, and accessible to everyone.
