Respiratory Medicine: Vice President

Dear Respiratory Society Members,

My name is Prachur, and I am honored to present my manifesto for Vice President. With a strong interest in respiratory medicine and a commitment to enhancing the interest of others in the field of respiratory medicine, I am eager to contribute to the society. I believe I have developed the organisational skills required for this, having served as a general executive for a surgical society and as president of the Indian Society (where I organised several events with 300+ attendees). This means that I would be able to ensure a smooth-running operation that would help provide several informative events. My main aims would be:

1. Enhancing Educational Development:

Expanding our educational programs to provide members with information on the latest advancements and best practices in respiratory medicine
Providing many more workshops this year to equip you with the skills required to work in the field of respiratory medicine

2. Strengthening Member Engagement:

Enhancing communication channels to keep members informed and involved in society activities.
Establishing mentorship programs to support early-career professionals and foster a sense of community Launching new online engagement platforms

3. Development of new online platforms

Starting a new online speaker series, recruiting current respiratory medicine doctors who are also interested in taking on students for research projects.
Starting a lecture series to help younger years with the content covered in the respiratory section of BRS to help with their exams
