Hello! My name’s Sophia, and I’m honored to be running for Co-Chair of Femtech Society once again. As the current Co-Chair, this society means the world to me, and I can't wait to continue this journey. Over the past year, alongside my amazing team, we’ve grown the society from 190 to almost 400 members—a testament to the passion and potential of this community.
I’m running again because I have endless ideas and ambitions to keep pushing our vision forward. With the growing attention on Femtech, it’s our prime opportunity to attract a wider community to realize the importance of women’s health.
Last year, I promised to organize more inter-uni events and networking opportunities, and we successfully achieved that through our Imperial x Cambridge Femtech Hackathon and Annual Femtech Conference, which engaged ~200 attendees from different institutions, ages, disciplines, and backgrounds. These events promote the sharing of perspectives and experiences, and build meaningful connections, and hence if I get elected again, this will definitely remain our focus for the next year.
I’ve also realized that as ambitious Imperial students, we’re all undeniably desperate for career and internship-oriented opportunities. Hence, I hope to incorporate more career/internship-related networking events and workshops that will provide tangible value for all our members.
I am eager to amplify our impact and to continue shaping the future of Femtech with you all. Thank you for believing in our vision, and let’s make this year even more amazing than the last!
