Xingyue Lin

With over five years of event coordination experience—including hosting major corporate events—and more than three years working in architecture and design, I understand the crucial bridge between education and industry. I have navigated the transition from student to professional, and I want to ensure that we are all prepared for that journey with confidence, exposure, and the right connections.

My Vision: More opportunities, more exposure, and more transdiciplinary collaboration. If elected, I will:

Connect Students to Industry – Organize showcase events where professionals can engage with our projects, offer feedback, and open doors to internships and partnerships. I will work to showcase our projects in external exhibitions, ensuring our work reaches the people who can help take it further.

Expand Cross-School Collaboration – Strengthen ties between IDE and Dyson Design School while reaching beyond Imperial and RCA to build connections with other UK universities, design schools, and industries. By engaging across disciplines, we amplify our innovation and impact.

Host Social and Community Events – Create opportunities for students to connect outside of work—through casual meetups, themed gatherings, and collaborative activities—helping build a stronger, more inclusive IDE community.

Host Engaging Career Focused Events – Curate networking nights, panel talks, and hands-on workshops to bring students, alumni, and industry experts together in meaningful ways.
