Nishka Mathur
Hi, I'm Nishka! Since the first week of ME1, I've been so impressed with and proud to be a part of our mech eng community. The women in mech eng society has made me feel so at home, from seeing wholesome interactions between girls and non-binary people from different year groups at the WiME socials, to yapping about our degree in outreach events.
If you voted for me, I'd be a friendly face in the department to talk to. As someone who finds the degree every bit as challenging as the rest of you, I can offer advice and my experience from the past two years. From my role in the outreach committee, I've experienced running events with other committee members and communicating with schools. As president, I’d like to collaborate with the women in engineering societies of other departments, and make our community more welcoming to international students. I'd be a good representative of our society, ensuring the rest of the committee works well together to create a welcoming environment led by the women and non-binary students in our department. Vote for me if you want a smoothly run society that you're proud to be a part of! <3
