Selina Yeung

Hi!

My name is Selina and I’m a second-year Biological Sciences student. I've been involved in the CEC throughout my degree, as a Climate Pre-Accelerator participant in my first year and as the CEC's Marketing Manager this year.

By running to be Co-Chair next year, I hope to improve the quality and quantity of the CEC's events, build on our partnership and sponsorship networks, broaden the society’s reach and maintain consistent communication with current members.

Why vote for me?

• I'm highly involved in the society as a current committee member. I oversee all society communications and social media platforms, help to facilitate events like the ImpactTech Kickoff and Pre-Accelerator Programme, build connections with industry professionals, and have co-organised Imperial's Green Careers Fair.
• I'm passionate about climate-tech and sustainability, as evidenced by my volunteering experiences with organisations like SOS-UK, and internships with climate policy think-tanks and non-profits.
• I'm organised and dependable. As Co-Chair, I will ensure that the CEC's activities and committee run smoothly. I will be a reliable point of contact for any questions, feedback and ideas from society members.
• Having been both an active society member and committee member, I understand the ins and outs of this society and am well positioned to expand the CEC's potential and positive impact.

As Co-Chair, I will work to strengthen CEC as a valuable platform for fostering new ideas, skills and connections between individuals hoping to tackle environmental challenges.
