Karam Bhatia

Namaste! My name is Karam Bhatia and I currently serve on the HinduSoc subcommittee. As a British-born Hindu with roots in both Punjabi and Rajasthani cultures, I am deeply connected to our rich heritage and traditions. I am excited to stand for the position of Social Secretary of the Imperial College Hindu Society.

My vision for the Hindu Society is to create a vibrant, inclusive, and engaging community where every member feels valued and connected. I aim to celebrate our diverse traditions, create a sense of belonging, and promote cultural awareness within and beyond our society.

I would like to bring everyone together, to enjoy our traditional festivals such as Diwali, Holi & Navratri. I will plan regular social gatherings, including Hinduism-themed movie nights, game nights including Carrom and Snakes & Ladders, and cultural workshops, to strengthen bonds among members and create lasting memories.

As I am already a subcommittee member, I will draw on my experience of organising events, engaging with members and collaboratively working with the committee members to ensure that our society remains dynamic, fun and captivating.

I am committed to making the Imperial College Hindu Society a welcoming and vibrant community for all its members. With your support, I believe we can achieve great things together. Let us celebrate our heritage, encourage unity, and create unforgettable experiences.
