Jiayi Liu

Hi, I am Jiayi Liu, a second year physics student and an active member of CMS.

I have participated in most of the social events and all the termly concerts of CMS so far. Also, with support from music fellows, I organized, advertised, and performed a commercial recital at Holy Trinity Church. I am always willing to communicate, provide help and ask for help to give everyone a better environment.

There are departmental concerts in physics, including music talents not only from physics, but also from across the college and RCM. Gaining insight from the inclusion of these events, I suppose that communication with other London universities is beneficial in long term. For chamber music, which requires working in groups, it is important to know and collaborate with different people. I plan running monthly social events together with LSE (and hopefully other universities), and organize a concert for chamber music and two pianos (which is not feasible at IC due to facility limitations) on LSE campus. In addition, I am going to introduce chamber music members to engage in my departmental concerts and explore more opportunities for playing music.

I believe that with a wide network, everyone can enjoy the mingles and reveal their talent.
