Harini Sivathasan
Hello everyone, we are Harini and Nethra, and we are running to be your GP soc Annual Conference Chairs! Through attending events organised by GP society and our placements so far, we have developed a strong interest in General Practice.
Here is some previous experience that we believe make both of us well-suited to this role!
Harini: As MedEd Phase 1a BRS CrashCourse Lead, I recruited 20 lecturers, organised a structured teaching program, and delivered interactive, high-yield sessions, receiving excellent student feedback. As Imperial Tamil Society’s ex Head of Sponsorship, I have experience liaising with team members, organizing events, and managing logistics.
Nethra: I helped organise a similar conference run by Personalised Medicine Society, when I was conference lead on the committee. I greatly enjoyed contacting and liaising with speakers, and then planning and overseeing the logistics of the conference. I also have experience helping plan large events for TSOC and Imperial doctorpreneurs.
What we promise to do:
- Broader Speaker Lineup: Include GPs from diverse career paths (urgent care, digital health, GPwSIs in dermatology, sports medicine, health policy, AI, telemedicine and lifestyle medicine etc.)
- Portfolio & Career Planning: Guide students on GP training pathways, portfolio building, and application strengthening.
- Partnerships: Collaborate with faculty or RCGP for official accreditation.
Vote us if you want to make the GP Society Annual Conference the most engaging, informative, and inspiring event yet!
