I’m Rhaedian Maranan, and I’m excited to run for Social Events Coordinator for our Filipino Society. As a passionate member of our community, I understand the power of uniting people to celebrate our culture, forge friendships, and create lasting memories. This role isn’t just about organizing events; it’s about creating spaces for us to connect and embrace our shared heritage.

Here are my main objectives as your Social Events Coordinator:

Celebrating Filipino Culture: I will showcase the richness of Filipino culture through engaging events, from traditional fiestas to modern Filipino pop culture. We’ll host events with music, food, dance, art, and storytelling- literally anything, whether it’s a movie night or even a "Simbang Gabi"!
Inclusive Events: Whether you're full Pinoy or love Filipino culture, I will organize events that everyone can enjoy, appreciate, and learn from. Each event will be accessible, diverse, and welcoming to all backgrounds, creating a space where everyone feels they belong.
Collaboration with Other Societies: I believe in the power of collaboration. I’ll work with other cultural societies and student organizations to create joint events, fostering unity and promoting diversity. Together, we’ll strengthen ties between cultures, share experiences, and promote unity in diversity- within or outside of Imperial.
Feedback and Communication: I will ensure your voice is heard by gathering feedback after every event to improve the next. My goal is to tailor events to what YOU want as part of our Filipino Society.
