Rishi Miriyala

Hi! My name's Rishi and I'm running for research officer!

My time at Imperial has been filled with society positions, being president for two societies and leading an international charity called UAEM. I've held research lead/officer positions at different committees including the National Medical Research Association, Imperial Brain and Spine and the Hong Kong-UK Cardiovascular Analytics Group. In my four years at Imperial I've accumulated 10+ presentations and publications, including international conferences in Berlin and Thailand. I've also worked with leading researchers in different fields, including Lord Darzi at the Hamlyn Centre for Robotic Surgery and Professor Rawaf at the WHO Collaborating Centre.

This year I've lead ophthalmology society, and have presented research from our work, and working on more projects related to this. I know how to make successful presentations and publications from society work and am keen to bring this to SORA. As research officer, I'll aspire to make projects out of all of the conferences and teaching series held by the society, and work on the overall mission to making research more accessible to students.
