Andrew Wong

Hi everyone! My name is Andrew :) I'm a third year physics student and as I've been a part of ICVC for the last few years, I would like to contribute to the running and development of the club in my final year!

Why should you vote for me? The deputy president's role is to is to coordinate and organise recreational sessions and tournaments and aid the president in the general running of the club. As a recreational player myself, I believe that my first hand experience of the recreational side of the club will aid me greatly in building upon the work of the previous deputy president's Yixin, Emil and Oscar before me.

This year, the recreational offering has improved a lot with more society tournaments as well as the introduction of the Monday session. As the club has 300+ members, it has sometimes been difficult for recreational players in particular to have regular training and deal with overcrowding of some sessions. As a result, some of the things I would aim to do is to investigate potential solutions to these problems as well as improve training so that everyone, that wishes to, can have the opportunity to enjoy the sport of volleyball :D
