Rodrigo Watanabe

Hey there! If we haven't had the pleasure to meet yet, my name is Rodrigo and I am looking to represent you as your Hackathons Coordinator for DocSoc 2025-2026. I am a passionate and socialable first year student who is looking to ensure that our beloved hackathons—like ICHack—continue to reach new heights! I am confident that my experiences have shaped me to be the ideal candidate for this role. As president of my high school’s Programming and Development Club, I organized workshops on programming and theory that empowered my peers and academic staff, and I also helped organize an inter-school Game Jam for all Swiss International Schools. Serving on a selective sustainability committee in the same high school, I helped successfully renew the Echo Schools scholarship by working closely with the administration. Additionally, I founded a sustainability initiative, coordinating multiple environmental cleanups and bakesales that brought together over 50 participants. My experiences have equipped me with the leadership, organizational skills, and innovative mindset necessary to excel in ensuring the high standards that DocSoc has established for their hackathons!
