Adara Donson
Hi there! I'm Adara (or Addie), a first year BMB student from the UK/China running for Sponsorship Lead for MedTech :)
With MedTech being such an emerging, rapidly growing field, I'm excited to contribute to building strong partnerships between sponsors and our members to create a wider impact.
If elected as Sponsorship Lead I would:
- Invite leading researchers/lecturers to speak
- Identify sponsors and create proposals, especially startups and pharma/biotech companies
- Endorse collaboration between IC-events and companies
- Create and promote opportunities for students, by contacting researchers and guest speakers
- Collaborate with other universities
Beyond the classroom, I think it's important this intersection between science and tech is prioritised, learning from those leading in their fields at talks and workshops is one of our best career-advancing opportunities. I will do my best to collaborate and advocate for MedTech to help advance our careers and build connections.
Personally, I love all things biotech and medtech, especially: female health, stem cells, neuroscience and prosthetics.
