Catherine James
I am excited to be part of Imperial Friends of MSF and to apply for the role of Vice President of Innovation, helping to develop creative initiatives that enhance engagement, advocacy, and fundraising. I am passionate about global health and humanitarian action and hope to support the society in providing students with meaningful ways to learn about and contribute to MSF’s work.
As Vice President of Innovation, I will introduce fresh approaches to raise awareness of MSF’s mission, encouraging more students to get involved. I aim to implement interactive fundraising campaigns, digital engagement strategies, and cross-disciplinary collaborations to broaden our reach. By incorporating technology, storytelling, and varied event formats, I will work to create an engaging and welcoming space for students interested in humanitarian medicine.
I have experience in research, public health advocacy, and event organisation, working with experts, clinicians, and students on discussions around global health. I have also been involved in innovation-focused initiatives, particularly in healthcare and education, developing strong skills in project management and problem-solving that I will bring to this role.
If elected, I will focus on strengthening Friends of MSF’s presence at Imperial, creating opportunities for students to collaborate, learn, and contribute in practical ways. I look forward to helping the society grow and supporting more students in exploring humanitarian medicine and global health.
