Hi everyone!

I’m Mathura, a second-year Biochemistry student, and I’m excited to be running for Head of Diversity & Inclusivity. I would love your support!

Coming from a minority background, I understand the challenges many of us face when trying to break into competitive fields like investment and finance, especially without the right support. When I first joined Imperial, I had little knowledge about investment, but this society has helped me connect with like-minded people and gain invaluable insights. As Head of Diversity & Inclusivity, I want to empower more students from diverse backgrounds by organising engaging and informative events to make this field more accessible.

Why me?

Being the current Vice President of the Imperial Tamil Society has helped me to engage with many people. I have helped organising Megamaalai XXV – the annual charity event with over 2,000 attendees, showcasing Tamil culture through dance and music. This experience has developed my ability to engage communities, coordinate large-scale events and create opportunities for others - all of which will help me thrive in this role.
