I have always found learning about finance to be intellectually stimulating. This passion has driven me to regularly engage with financial news from The Wall Street Journal, delve into equity research reports, and explore investment idea writeups from professional sources. Beyond current market trends, I enjoy reading biographies of successful investors and explanatory articles on financial concepts, deepening my understanding of both investment strategies and the broader financial landscape.

Equally, I find great satisfaction in discussing and writing about what I have learned. This passion has led me to stand for the position of Head of Editorial, where I aim to make our biweekly newsletter a more engaging and insightful read for our society’s members.

While our current newsletter is good, I believe we can make it more engaging by experimenting with the following format:

1. Investment Idea – A short thesis on a stock, group of stocks, or other types of investment opportunity.
2. Market & Corporate News – A curated selection of important market-moving events and corporate developments that impact investors.
3. Financial Insights – A brief explanation of a financial topic, such as:
• A financial concept (e.g., credit default swaps).
• A biography of a successful investor or banker.
• A summary of a finance-related book that might be worth reading.

Finally, I believe the best content is shaped by reader engagement. I would actively seek feedback from our members and the editorial team to ensure our newsletter remains informative, accessible, and engaging.
