Investment: Head of Buy-Side Corporate Relations (Duplicate)
Hi everyone! I am Yuriko, a 2nd year civil engineering student.
For the past 2 years, I have had the opportunity to be an analyst for QTC, attend networking events, financial courses and interview clinics with the Investment Society. One of the things that differentiates this society is the level of commitment from the students to ensure help is given out to everyone exploring the financial industry. With most of us pursuing a non-finance degree, I view this society as an extra module, being able to improve practical skills and expand your network.
Recently placing top 5 in the Blackstone real estate investment competition and being offered an asset management summer internship as a second year student, I am confident that I will be able to transfer my passion and skills to offer unique and educational opportunities. Being a sponsorship officer for CGCU and president-elect for basketball society, I will be able to contact firms and institutions and foster a collaborative and nurturing community.
If elected, I will prioritise achieve the following:
- Organising networking opportunities with panel talks across all buy-side sectors such as private equity, hedge funds, wealth management, insurance funds and venture capital.
- Expanding relations with financial institutions and alumni’s while maintaining and strengthening current relationships such as Imperial Young Professionals and Fidelity.
- Providing educational courses led by industry professionals and working with other universities to host competitions.
With my experience, network and drive, I look forward to the role of head of buy-side corporate relations. Thank you:)
