Irish: Events Officer

Dia duit, is mise Eliza, tá mé i mo chónaí i gContae Lú agus tá peann, scriosán, agus peann luaidhe i mo chás peann luaidhe. And I’m out.

Despite my rapidly diminishing Irish language skills, since leaving Ireland I have felt more Irish than ever. I want to continue this connection to our home country—whether you are from Ireland, connecting to Irish roots, or just here for the Guinness, I promise to run a series of class events:

🍀 Starting a tradition of Gaelic sports within the society – Being a camóg myself, I would love to bring taster football and hurling sessions to Hyde Park.

🍀 Continuing our connection with the Ceilidh Society – More music, more dancing, and a chance to connect with our fellow celts.

🍀 St. Patrick’s Day – As always, a day of celebration, ceol and craic. I am eagerly awaiting March 17th , and already scheming for 2026.

Vote for me 🍀
