Hi everyone! I'm Yoyo, and I am running to be your next Bioengineering Society Publicity Officer!
I'm a first-year Molecular Bioengineering student, and to be honest, I started this course without fully knowing what to expect. But as the months have passed, I've grown to love the subject, and I've realized how important it is to have a strong and engaged community within our department. That's why I want to contribute my skills to help grow Bioeng Soc, increase engagement, and showcase everything our society has to offer through creative and effective publicity.
With experience in Canva, Procreate, and content writing, I have the tools to create visually appealing and engaging promotional materials. Back in high school, I was part of the yearbook committee, where I learned to balance creativity with organizational skills that are crucial for managing a society's publicity. Whether it's designing eye-catching posters, writing engaging captions, or keeping our social media platforms active, I'll make sure that every event gets the attention it deserves.
That being said, I'm especially excited about the upcoming Bioeng Soc Spring Formal, an event that will bring our community closer together. Hopefully I'll get the chance to promote more opportunities for students to connect, participate, and make the most of their time in Bioeng Soc.
