Hi everyone, I'm Sammi Chen and I am a first year biological sciences student interested in finance and business. A little about me- I am British Born Chinese and have always consdered a finance/business career, but somehow ended up in a STEM course...

I am applying for the marketing manager position this year. I am interested in WIB as I would like to promote a community where we can make stronger connections amongst women and develop creative and interactive events that encourage participation in events. I am specifically interested in running for marketing manager as I hope to create interactive content and promote the society to the greatest extent, where everyone can feel included and involved in gaining more knowledge about the society. I plan to utilize social media platforms like Instagram to promote events as well as a TikTok page where there coud be a larger audience for students who would like to see what the society is all about. I want to implement surveys and polls, and more social events where our members can not only learn about business and finance, but also make connections in a more friendly environment.

As marketing manager, I hope to work in a strong team where we can not only promote events, but also a culture where women in business feel supported and inspired.
