Charlotte Jeon
Dear Women in Business Society Members,
Hello! My name is Charlotte, and I’m a second-year Biochemistry student running to be your next Head of Internal/Alumni Relations.
This role is especially meaningful to me because of my own experiences with ICWIB’s internal/alumni relations team. Being paired with an incredible mentor through the ICWIB Mentorship Scheme was one of the most valuable career experiences I have had, reinforcing my belief in the power of strong professional connections. I want to ensure that every ICWIB member has access to these valuable career insights, whether through the Mentorship Scheme, insightful alumni panels, or networking events.
In the past, I have worked with UNICEF and Red Cross to organise events as a school representative and House Captain, equipping me with the leadership and professional skills needed for this role.
As Head of Internal/Alumni Relations, I will:
- Strengthen and expand ICWIB’s alumni network, reaching into more diverse fields
- Enhance the mentorship scheme to ensure meaningful connections for all participants
- Introduce more networking events such as panel discussions, fireside and coffee chats, as well as workshops aligned with application seasons
- Collaborate with other STEM and finance-adjacent societies to broaden opportunities
I know what it is like to feel lost in our career paths and recognise the value of hearing from amazing women who have been in our shoes before. Together, I hope we can continue building a supportive society that develops our early careers and empowers young women.
Thank you for your time! :)
