Hi, I’m Nandhini, and I would be honoured to be your next Gastroenterology & Hepatology Publicity Officer!

My passion for Gastroenterology and Hepatology comes from its complexity, use of cutting-edge technologies, and meaningful impact on patient quality on life. Whilst on placement on the gastroenterology ward, I witnessed firsthand the fascinating connections between systemic disease, gut health, and liver function. I'm captivated by how the specialty combines acute care and chronic disease management, and I'm excited to deepen my involvement through this role.

Through serving previous subcommittee roles, I have gained invaluable insight into the teamwork and organisational skills required into making these events happen, giving me the confidence to communicate well with the committee and create fun experiences for the societies members.

My main three aims as Publicity Officer:

• Strategically promote society events, from expert-led lectures to hands-on workshops and flagship conferences, through multi-platform outreach, including social media, newsletters, and targeted campaigns.
• Create engaging, high-quality content that showcases advancements in gastroenterology and hepatology, emphasising the specialty’s clinical significance and the society’s role in fostering academic excellence.
• Cultivate a dynamic online presence that encourages discussion and professional networking while forging collaborations with societies and organisations to expand reach and opportunities.
