We’re Chirag and Marya, and we’re thrilled to run for Conference Chairs for RTS! Our goal is to make this conference a dynamic, thought-provoking, and inclusive experience that not only challenges perceptions but also highlights the full scope of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
We want to push boundaries and explore the future of plastics and reconstructive surgery, incorporating themes such as global health, AI-driven innovations, humanitarian surgery, and gender equity.
Our goals:
- Innovative, hands-on workshops – From bioprinting in plastics to warzone reconstructive simulations, we’ll bring cutting-edge experiences to delegates.
- Stronger publicity & outreach – Engaging social media content, strategic marketing, networking opportunities, and high-impact promotional videos to boost participation.
- Empowering future talent – Introducing an essay and poster competition to spotlight emerging voices in the field.
- Maximising workshop value – Launching a pre-conference workshop and stratifying suturing experiencelevels to ensure tailored, high-quality training for all delegates.
- RTS Committee Merch – Custom gear to represent the conference.
Together, we bring a wealth of experience. I have worked extensively in event coordination and publicity through her roles in WinSAA, the Transplant & Vascular Society, and iPRAS, while Chirag has experience in surgical education, sponsorship acquisition, and leadership across iPRAS, SurgSoc, and MedEd initiatives. Our combined strengths in organisation, outreach, and sponsorship mean we’re ready to take this conference to new heights.
We’d love the opportunity to bring this vision to life and make Reconstructing the Stereotype a conference to remember. We hope to have your support - let’s make it happen together!
