Hi, I’m Jonathan and I’m running to be your next Secretary for iPRAS.

I have various experiences that will make me an effective Secretary. As the current president of the Society of Research and Academia, I have learnt to organise meetings, liaise with external parties and plan various events. I am also familiar with the processes and documentation required by the union for event organisationllll. I believe that collectively, these skills will help me work well with the committee in developing the society.

As Secretary, I aim to:

Support members and the committee by:

• Providing members with mentorship opportunities
• Organising networking events, connecting students with doctors
• Communicating and relaying information between members of the committee

Facilitate communication to members by:

• Providing timely updates to members through a mailing list
• Updating social media pages, teams and whatsapp groups with upcoming events, news and relevant information

Carry out essential administrative tasks by:

• Setting meeting timings and finding venues
• Keeping meeting minutes
• Recording and archiving the society’s events and activities

iPRAS is more than just an academic organisation. It is a community of individuals who share a passion and a commitment to supporting one another. As Secretary, I will work to foster a supportive and collaborative culture within the society, building meaningful relationships between members that will support them throughout their academic years. I will work tirelessly to ensure that our society remains vibrant and dynamic in supporting the growth of all members.
