Mingma Tamang

Hi I’m Mingma and I’m excited in running for research officer for acute care specialties!

As research officer I hope to incorporate more research into the society by:

• communicating research and mentorship opportunities for members
• liaising with healthcare professionals in the fields of acute care and research to organise talks, ranging from introducing research to target members who may be unfamiliar with it, to ones in which they can directly get involved in
• collaborating with other internal and external societies on events and workshops

Having developed an interest in acute care and anaesthetics during my placement, I am very enthusiastic about being a part of this society. As project manager for a website where we research and bring light onto complex problems in society, I have first-hand experience leading a team in systematically investigating sources and providing valuable insights and conclusions. My organisational and communication skills from my past experience as a volunteer for a local action group would also be of benefit to this role, and in supporting the committee members in the events they put on throughout the year.
