Medical Education: Year 3 Coordinator

Hi, I'm Rohan Boyapati, a Year 3 medical student at Imperial College London. I am running for MEDED Year 3 Coordinator because I understand the challenges that come with clinical placements and the importance of extra support during this pivotal year.

Year 3 marks a critical point in medical education, as students transition into clinical placements and develop new skills. From my own experience, balancing clinical practice with academic work can be challenging. I’ve taught a small group of Year 2 students in CPA sessions, which has reinforced for me the value of clear, structured support. I want to help Year 3 students navigate this demanding year with confidence, ensuring they have access to the resources they need to thrive.

Plan:

Organize extra teaching sessions that align with the Year 3 clinical curriculum to help reinforce key concepts.
Facilitate peer-led study groups to promote collaboration and mutual support.
Enhance communication of upcoming events and resources to ensure all students are informed of available opportunities.
