Isabella Mariani

Hi everyone, I’m Isabella! After a year of successfully organizing WIB career and social events, I’m excited to re-run as Event Manager. I’ve loved growing this society into a space where women at Imperial feel at home while navigating their professional journeys.

With the experience and professional network I’ve built, I’m eager to support the future committee again. Women’s early career support often lacks depth, but the advice of industry professionals and women at different stages of your same journey does not.

To enhance WIB’s events, I plan to:

1. Expand industry coverage, ensuring you explore more career options through new industry introductions.
2. Develop speaker series for competitive roles, such as multiple Women in Finance events showcasing different career pathways and guiding you through applications.
3. Increase hands-on industry workshops by strengthening sponsor firm partnerships, providing first-hand experience and networking opportunities.

I would love to continue contributing to the bright and supportive WIB community, and have very much enjoyed organising social events such as the boat party and the pottery painting social, as I remembered really appreciating these events last year, alongside forming a close connection with my Alumni mentor, and catching up over pizzas after exciting panel events. I am keen to continue to foster an environment that was invaluable in growing my professional confidence, all while providing actionable advice.
