Cheryl Lee

Hi! I am Cheryl, a third-year Chemistry student and I am excited to be running for Events Manager this year in ICWIB! I believe that events play a vital role in helping members discover their interests and navigate career paths. Having benefited from these events myself, I am passionate and eager to be a part of creating these engaging and insightful environments to inspire my fellow members.

As the events manager, I will:

• Expand industry exposure by introducing exclusive events focused on life science consulting and the pharmaceutical industry, giving members the opportunity to gain deeper insights, networking opportunities, and a faster track to career opportunities in these industries.
• Broaden industry access through collaboration with other departmental societies with strong industry networks, maximising resources and co-hosting exclusive events that provide the members with unique career opportunities.
• Enhance social engagement by hosting more fun and social events such as cafe/bakery hopping, puppy yoga and picnics during spring and summer to foster a stronger sense of community.

Having been a part of ICWIB for the past three years, I’ve experienced how valuable this society is in empowering women in business. I would love the opportunity to contribute to making it even more dynamic, inclusive, and engaging this year.
