Hi! I’m Anna, a second-year Chemical Engineering student and I would love to be your events manager! WiB’s events and mentorship have introduced to me to incredible opportunities, and I would love to give back! I understand navigating your future career can be challenging, and I believe well-planned events are key to gaining industry insights and increasing your confidence.

As events manager, I plan to introduce the following initiatives:

1. Advance Career Opportunities

• Diversify panel events & workshops across Finance, Consulting, Tech, and Venture Capital.
• Connect members with recruiters & professionals through networking events, panel talks, office visits and workshops.

2. Strengthen Skill Development

• Collaborate with societies for specialised technical workshops (e.g. DCF modelling, case studies).
• Support members with CV, cover letters, interview prep & assessment centre workshops.

3. Expand Socials!

• Increase social events— some ideas include: alumni meetups, inter-uni events, cafe/dinner socials, art/pottery, bowling.
• Improve events through member suggestions and regular feedback :)
