Sandi Khit
Asian Medical Students Association: AMSEP Officer
Hello! I’m Sandi, and I’m excited to be running for the role of AMSEP Officer.
My Objectives
- Engage interest from the start - I plan to conduct a pre-planning survey to understand delegates’ priorities and tailor the outbound trip accordingly.
- Stir Interest - I propose hosting pre-departure events in collaboration with the respective country’s society, such as a language lesson combined with a social where delegates can learn essential phrases.
- Ensuring all participants are punctually informed about conditions of the exchange, like relevant policies about dropping out of the trip, to minimise risks such as penalty fees.
Why vote for me?
- Forward-thinking organisation - As a private tutor, I’ve planned lesson schedules a year in advance to cover the curriculum, while refining them live to address students’ weaknesses. This constant practice of planning and revision will be useful for overseeing the inbound AMSEP trip.
- Communication - My roles as a pharmacy healthcare assistant and Kumon tutor have strengthened my negotiation skills through liaising with customers from diverse backgrounds — vital for collaborating with AMSA counterparts.
- Advertising skills - As DermSoc’s Publicity Officer, I’ve gained experience using Canva to promote events like the exciting AMSEP trip I hope to be able to plan!
- Budgeting - As a Further Maths prefect, I cooperated with teachers to source materials and stay within the budget for our events throughout the year, a skill which I hope to further even more in this role.
Thank you for considering me!
