Dear fellow AMSA Members,

I am Adelaide, and I am excited to run for AMSA Academic Officer! As a member for the past two years, I have gained valuable insight into how the society operates and the impact of its academic and social initiatives. My passion for medical education and commitment to AMSA make me confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully to this role.

This year, I assisted with AMSA’s mock CPAs as an examiner. This experience deepened my understanding of the planning and coordination required for such events, which will be invaluable in organizing future academic initiatives. I have also participated in AMSA’s social events, including the movie night and Chinese New Year dim sum gathering, strengthening my connection with the AMSA community and increasing my understanding of its needs.

Outside of AMSA, I co-founded AlphaMED, a tutoring company supporting students through the medical school application process. I also organized a webinar with HKMSUK on medical school applications and training pathways in the UK and Hong Kong, refining my ability to coordinate informative academic events.

If elected, I plan to:

1. Expand AMSA’s academic support through more mock exams and structured revision sessions.

2. Organize insightful webinars and panel discussions with medical professionals.

3. Work closely with the AMSA committee to align academic initiatives with members' needs.

With my experience, enthusiasm, and dedication, I am confident in my ability to enhance AMSA’s academic experience.
