Hello everyone,

I’m mainly applying for Chair, but my passion for cardiovascular education and research means I’m eager to contribute however I can. As Head of Research & Education, I would focus on expanding opportunities, improving teaching, and strengthening our research network. A lot of my proposals are similar to what I've mentioned in my Chair manifesto too.

📚 Education – A Structured & Interactive Approach

• Launching a Cardiovascular Teaching Series, where students can be speakers, gaining valuable teaching and leadership experience.
• Organizing ECG & clinical skills workshops to consolidate core cardiovascular knowledge.
• Creating a revision guide or online resources for easy access to key cardiology concepts.

🔬 Research – Making It Accessible & Impactful

• Connecting students with research supervisors to help them secure projects in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery.
• Organizing a research symposium where students can present their work and gain feedback.
• Promoting national cardiovascular research opportunities, making it easier for students to get involved.

🤝 Collaboration & Career Development

• Establishing a conference subcommittee, allowing students to gain experience before applying for committee roles.
• Partnering with BUCA & other universities to enhance learning and networking opportunities.
• Supporting students in attending external CPD-accredited events to boost their portfolios.

I’m committed to making the Cardiovascular Society a place where students can gain as much as possible, knowledge and CV wise, and if elected, I intend to do that whichever way I can.
