Hello! I’m Akshaya Muthirulandi, and I am excited to be running for the position of 5th Year Academic Officer.

You may be wondering—why me? Well, I bring valuable experience from my roles in other societies, including serving as the Webmaster for the Surgical Society and as the Publicity Officer for the Society of Research and Academia. These positions have significantly enhanced my time management and organisational skills. Additionally, I’ve volunteered during the Surgical Society/ICSMSU Mock PACES for final-year students, gaining invaluable experience in managing mock exams and understanding the intricacies involved in their organization.

As your 5th Year Academic Officer, I aim to:

I will organise and deliver comprehensive lecture series for 5th-year students, covering both practical and written components of the exams. These will be available on various platforms, including online and in-person events.
I will work with other societies to create realistic and effective simulations of the PACES examination, ensuring that our students are well-prepared for the challenges they will face.

I am committed to ensuring that our 5th year students have access to the best resources and support as they prepare for their exams. I would be honored to serve as your 5th Year Academic Officer and contribute to your success in the coming year.
