Theodore Smy

Hey I’m Theo. As your Guitar Tech I promise to take good care of the guitars and basses available through the Live Music Society, acting immediately if faults arise. I have extensive experience fixing and maintaining my own guitars, having built many of them from scratch, so you can rest assured I have the tools, knowledge and passion required for this role.

It will be my mission to ensure loose input jacks, dodgy leads and broken amps are a thing of the past by conducting regular maintenance on the West Basement instruments and buying replacements where necessary. My band and I are avid users of the practice room, so I know the frustration of using gear that doesn’t work properly. As such, I aim to create an easy system for reporting broken equipment so that any faults are seen to as soon as possible and I will hold votes when new gear needs to be bought to ensure we’re getting the equipment that people actually want.
