Harini Sivathasan
Hi everyone, I’m Harini, and I’m running to be your Endocrinology Society Academic Officer! I have a strong interest in endocrinology and want to use my experience in medical education and event organisation to deliver high-quality academic events.
Why Me?
✅ Proven Experience in Medical Education – As MedEd BRS Phase 1A CrashCourse Lead, I organised a structured, high-yield lecture series, recruiting 20 lecturers and providing interactive sessions and practice questions, receiving excellent feedback. I will bring this same approach to the endo crashcourses and career events.
✅ Event Planning & Logistics – As Head of Sponsorship for Imperial Tamil Society last year, I liaised with businesses and helped organise large-scale events, developing skills in securing speakers, lecturers, and smooth event coordination.
What I Will Do:
Imperial offers world-class endocrinology teaching led by top professors, yet some topics can still be challenging to grasp. That’s why I will:
- Run concise, high-yield tutorials featuring interactive, case-based teaching throughout the year.
- Work with our professors to promote research opportunities and guide portfolio development and applications to aspiring endocrinologists.
- Collaborate with experts to create high-quality educational resources, crash courses, and lectures.
- Work with other medical societies to expand access to more learning resources and career opportunities.
I’m committed to making Endocrinology Society’s academic events well-organized and invaluable for both aspiring endocrinologists and those seeking exam support.
Vote for me! :)
