Hi, we’re Abdul and Daniel, and we’re excited to run for Co-Chairs of the Sports & Exercise Medicine Society. Our passion for sports and its connection to medicine has shaped our journey, and we’re eager to expand the society, making it more engaging, educational, and impactful. As 3rd-year medical students with a strong interest in sports injuries and athlete care, we are committed to enhancing the society’s opportunities for all members.

Our Vision for 2025/26:

Conferences with Leading Experts – Gain first-hand insights from top sports orthopaedic surgeons, sports cardiologists, and club doctors on managing athlete health and performance.

Hands-On Workshops – Develop practical skills through injury assessment, rehabilitation techniques, and pitch-side emergency care sessions.

Expert-Led Lecture Series – Learn from orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine doctors, physiotherapists, and industry professionals about treating and managing athletes at the elite level.

Club Partnerships & Networking – Connect with sports teams, physiotherapy clinics, and sports clubs to access shadowing, placements, and mentoring opportunities.

Research & Audit Opportunities – Get involved in sports medicine research, audits, and quality improvement projects to boost your CV and expand your clinical knowledge.

We want to make SEMSoc more dynamic, accessible, and valuable for students passionate about sports and exercise medicine. With our dedication and vision, we aim to enhance the society’s impact, providing exciting opportunities for learning, networking, and hands-on experience.
