Hey everyone! I'm Hrutika and I'm excited to be running for the Head of Finance (Treasurer) position in the Imperial College Data Science Society. As a student studying Economics, Finance, and Data Science, I am deeply passionate about how financial management and data-driven decision-making can drive the success of organisations. With my background in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning, I am eager to ensure that the society thrives financially and continues to offer incredible opportunities to all members.

Action Plan:

1. Secure Sustainable Funding & Sponsorships
   • Actively seek out grants, sponsorships, and industry partnerships to ensure the society has adequate financial backing for large-scale events, competitions, and networking opportunities.
   • Explore opportunities for collaborative funding with other societies to organise bigger and more innovative events
2. Efficient Budget Allocation & Transparency
   • Develop a structured and transparent budget that prioritises impactful events, workshops, and student-led initiatives.
   • Implement an open-book policy, allowing committee members to view financial reports and understand how funds are utilised
3. Financially supporting novel initiatives
   • Allocate a portion of the society's budget towards events improving diversity and accessibility in data science
