Ashley Yang

Hi everyone! I’m Ashley, a third-year Design Engineering student, and I’m excited to run for Social Events Manager. Over the past three years, I’ve experienced the incredible community we’ve built together, and I want to take our social experiences to the next level.

As Social Events Manager, I’ll focus on creating inclusive, engaging, and memorable events that bring us closer as a department. My vision includes:

• Diverse Events: From themed socials and networking nights to collaborative workshops with other societies, I’ll host events that cater to everyone’s interests.
• Community Building: I’ll introduce regular casual meetups, like coffee mornings and study breaks, to foster connections beyond the classroom.
• Collaboration: Working closely with other committees, I’ll ensure our events align with academic and project timelines, offering a balanced social calendar.

Having been part of Design Engineering for three years, I understand what makes our community unique. I’ll bring creativity, organisation, and enthusiasm to this role, ensuring every event is a chance to connect, unwind, and have fun. Thank you for your support!
