Kaushal Kumar

Hi, I'm Kaushal, currently in my 3rd year of Mech Eng, and I'm applying for the role of sewa coordinator for next year.

There are many ways we can keep our faith and maintain our connection with God, and I feel that sewa is one of the best ways to do this. I believe that all of us are one with God, and serving our peers is a great way to show our devotion, as well as fulfill a higher purpose of helping society. In the past, I have always enjoyed volunteering and community service activities, and I am very excited about the possibility of being able to organise oppurtunities for sewa for students at imperial!

My main plans for next year are as follows:

- Maintaining previous relationships that Hindu society had with organisations like Akshaya Patra, and providing service in the form of food to those who are in need

- Organising monthly community service oppurtunities and establishing relationships with charitable organisations in London

- Bake sale style stalls on/near campus selling Indian food (i.e samosas, pakodas etc) for low prices, with proceeds going to charitable organisations.

- Providing a platform for members of Hindu society trying to raise money for charity (i.e promoting justgiving pages etc)

I'm very much looking forward to the possibility of being Sewa Coordinator, and hope I can count on your vote!
