Ines Meyer
Hi everyone ! I’m Inès, a first year Molecular Bioengineering student and I am excited to run for treasurer.
Our society thrives on providing invaluable finance-related opportunities to students, from networking with top industry professionals to equipping us with the skills needed to break into competitive finance careers. As Team Leader of External Relations at AIESEC at Imperial, I have gained hands on experience in securing sponsorships, negotiating deals and managing budgets. These skills make me confident in my ability to effectively handle the society’s finances and drive its financial growth.
As treasurer, my goals will be to:
1) Maximize sponsorship and financial growth: I will leverage my experience to secure more sponsorships from top firms, increasing our financial resources. This will allow us to expand our events, provide better learning opportunities and ensure long-term sustainability for the society.
2) Make events more accessible : By optimizing our budget, I aim to heavily subsidize our events, so that all members can benefit from top-quality experiences without financial barriers. A stronger financial base will allow us to host invaluable events while keeping costs low for attendees.
3) Strengthen our society's reputation as the ultimate Finance hub at Imperial: By strengthening industry connections and securing financial backing, I aim to continue elevating our society's reputation as one of the most established finance societies in the UK. I also want to ensure we remain the go-to place for students looking to explore and break into the world of finance.
Thank you for considering my application!
