Megumi Dharma

Hiii everyone!!
I’m Megumi, a first-year Materials student, and as a true material girl 💅✨, I’m excited to run for Treasurer of Teddy Bear Hospital. My passion for volunteering started in high school, where I taught English and Maths at orphanages. I was thrilled to find a society at Imperial where I could continue channeling my passion while working with kids (they’re just so paw-sitively adorable!!!), and I’m eager to make a meaningful impact in the Teddy Bear Hospital society and beyond.

Over the years, I’ve taken on various financial roles, leading to successful outcomes in the organizations I’ve been part of, such as:

• Leader and finance supervisor of HelpingHands, where we taught English and Maths at orphanages while raising funds for orphanage renovations and presents.
• Board member and Finance Coordinator of ByeByePlasticBags Surabaya, where we sold products promoting sustainability
• Charity division of Student Council, where we raised funds for malnourished children.

I believe that these experiences have equipped me with the skills to be an effective and responsi-bear treasurer🐻. Furthermore, if elected, I’ll make sure to focus on:

• Ensuring financial sustainability
• Being transparent with funds
• Allocating funds for new toys and equipments for the kids
• Working closely with the committee - ensuring enjoyable, fuzz-free volunteering experiences for both the volunteers and the kids
