Hello, my name is Michelle, and I am excited to apply for the role of Secretary of the Oncology Society.

Oncology is a rapidly evolving field, and I am passionate about creating opportunities for students to explore its many specialties. If elected, I aim to organise more conferences and events, inviting leading doctors, researchers, and front-line clinicians to share their expertise. In addition to general oncology topics, I would like to highlight and explore different subspecialties, such as medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pediatric oncology, and palliative care, to give members a well-rounded understanding of the field.

As Secretary, I will ensure that the society runs smoothly by managing communication, scheduling meetings, and coordinating events effectively. My experience in administrative roles has strengthened my organisation, time management, and teamwork skills, making me well-suited for this role.

If elected, I am committed to expanding the society’s impact and providing valuable opportunities for members to network, learn, and engage with the field of oncology.
