Dear members,

We are delighted to announce our candidacy for Oncology Society Co-Presidents. Having held prominent committee roles such as Conference Chair (Rithvik) and Treasurer (Manuel), we have been responsible for both the daily running of the society and it’s flagship events.

We have developed the following iniatives to enhance the experience for onco soc members:

• Oncology Research Mentorship Program: an initiative that gives eager students the opportunity to collaborate with oncology-related research.

• Volunteering Opportunities: outreach to local and national cancer charities to enable students to volunteer in a variety of healthcare settings.

• Journal Club: regular talks by keynote speakers to provide members with an insight into novel cancer therapy.

• Comprehensive Teaching Series: lectures covering cancer related content all the way from Y1 POM to Y5 Path.

We have also held several positions in numerous academic societies such as SurgSoc, MedED, SORA, BIMA and BISA: delivering conferences, lecture series, mock exams and creating revision resources. As presidents, we will draw upon this wealth of experience to expand the reach and impact of Oncology society.

Pooling our collective experience in the society’s administration and finances along with our passion for oncology and medical education, we aim to take onco soc to new heights. We would be honored to serve as your presidents and would greatly appreciate your vote!
