Pathology: Events Officer

My name is Vedant, and I’m running to be Events Officer for the Pathology Society next year!

Pathology is at the core of modern medicine, shaping everything from diagnostics to cutting-edge research. It’s a field that often doesn’t get enough attention in medical education, and I want to help change that by organising exciting, engaging, and high-quality events that showcase just how vital and fascinating pathology is.

One of my biggest goals as Events Officer would be to organise a Pathology Conference, bringing together leading experts, researchers, and students to discuss advances in the field, career pathways, and real-world applications of pathology in medicine. Beyond this, I’d love to run:

Interactive case-based teaching sessions to link pathology with clinical practice.
Career insight talks with pathologists from different subspecialties.
Histopathology and forensics workshops to give hands-on experience.
Collaborations with other societies to highlight the role of pathology in different medical fields.

I have strong leadership and organisational skills from my experience as cricket captain for my local team, as well as event-planning experience from mentoring and tutoring initiatives. I’m proactive, creative, and keen to bring fresh ideas to the society.

If elected, I will work hard to make Pathology Society’s events engaging, educational, and accessible to all students. Thank you for reading—I hope to have your support!
