My name is Vedant, and I’m running to be Events Officer for the Pathology Society next year!

Pathology is at the core of modern medicine, shaping everything from diagnostics to cutting-edge research. It’s a field that often doesn’t get enough attention in medical education, and I want to help change that by organising exciting, engaging, and high-quality events that showcase just how vital and fascinating pathology is.

One of my biggest goals as Events Officer would be to organise a Pathology Conference, bringing together leading experts, researchers, and students to discuss advances in the field, career pathways, and real-world applications of pathology in medicine. Beyond this, I’d love to run:

✅ Interactive case-based teaching sessions to link pathology with clinical practice.
✅ Career insight talks with pathologists from different subspecialties.
✅ Histopathology and forensics workshops to give hands-on experience.
✅ Collaborations with other societies to highlight the role of pathology in different medical fields.

I have strong leadership and organisational skills from my experience as cricket captain for my local team, as well as event-planning experience from mentoring and tutoring initiatives. I’m proactive, creative, and keen to bring fresh ideas to the society.
