Hi, I’m Rama, and I’m running to be your Cardiovascular Conference Chair!

Having attended the conference for the past two years, I’ve seen first-hand how inspiring the speakers have been and how invaluable a learning experience the workshops and surgical sessions were. I’d like to continue and expand these opportunities for future attendees

In terms of my experience, I am a current Cardiovascular sciences student so have links with current lecturers, post-docs, and surgeons for next years line of up high quality speakers and judges.

I have had all 3 main CSP roles as a secretary, treasurer and chair. Thus, I’m aware of the logistics surrounding early room bookings for conferences, risk assessments for dissections and external speaker protocols. I’m also experienced in budgeting for large-scale events and most importantly have been Chair so will be able to lead and delegate roles clearly and early on for a smoother conference

This year, my goals would be:

• Carry on the two day split medical and surgical format as this attracted a broad range of students but still allowed for focused, small group teaching
• Increase collaborations with other societies such as Imperial MedTech or SORA to allow for a greater variety of workshops
• Have separate poster presentations for the medical and surgical day so more students have an opportunity to submit and present

I’m committed to make the 2026 Cardiovascular Conference even bigger and better than the last!
