Sami Al Machhoor

Dear ICSM Cardiovascular Society members,

I am excited to apply for the position of Vice Chair, bringing strong organisational, leadership, and teamwork skills honed through my roles as Social Secretary of ICSM Music Society and Head of Promotions for Cardiovascular Society. These experiences have given me valuable insight into how committees operate, as well as the level of commitment and coordination required to run successful events. From organising large-scale socials like FPR and Circle Line to designing all promotional materials for Cardio conferences, I have developed the ability to plan, promote, and execute events that are engaging, well-attended, and memorable.

As Vice Chair, my priority would be to ensure the smooth and effective running of the society, overseeing conferences, events, and initiatives alongside the committee. Having been actively involved in both event planning and promotions, I understand the importance of early preparation, clear communication, and teamwork in delivering successful activities. I am confident in my ability to support other committee members, manage logistics, and step in wherever needed to keep everything running efficiently.

A strong year within a society depends on strong collaboration, creative ideas, and dedicated leadership. I will work closely with the Chair to develop new initiatives, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain high engagement among members. With my experience, reliability, and enthusiasm, I am committed to helping Cardiovascular Society continue to grow and excel.
