  • Successfully managed large-scale events as Annual Conference Chair (2023-24), and the Y5 Mock PACES, demonstrating my ability to coordinate, communicate, and ensure smooth execution.

My ideas and plans for the role?

• Optimise the PsychStart Matching Process:
  • Create a structured application system to better match students with psychiatrists based on specialty interest, research aspirations, or career goals.
  • Provide guidance on making the most of mentorship, ensuring students feel confident engaging with their mentors.
  • Midway check-ins to assess mentorship progress
• Expand accessibility and engagement:
  • Offer virtual mentorship options to include psychiatrists outside London, increasing availability and diversity of mentors.

These improvements will ensure that PsychStart is more structured, accessible, and supportive, allowing students to build meaningful connections with mentors and gain valuable insights into a career in psychiatry.
